Trailer For Serial Killer Thriller THE SILENCING Starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau & Annabelle Wallis
There’s a serious 1990s vibe to be felt in this trailer for director Robin Pront’s serial killer thriller, The Silencing. In fact, the shadow of Jonathan Demme’s The Silence Of The Lambs appears to loom large over the film which stars Game Of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and The Mummy‘s Annabelle Wallis.
Movies In Focus doesn’t have a problem with this similarity at all. I always enjoy a good thriller and this looks like a well made entry into serial killer genre. The gold standard for these things of course is the aforementioned Thomas Harris adaptation, as well as Michael Mann’s fellow Hannibal Lector pic, Manhunter and David Fincher’s Seven.
The Silencing is on DIRECTV from 16 July, 2020 and in select cinemas and VOD from 14 August 2020.
