Trailer: Anne Hathaway & Ben Affleck In THE LAST THING HE WANTED
It would appear that Netflix is really going to town on delivering the type of mid-budget, adult oriented thriller that Hollywood rarely makes anymore (see The Irishman, Triple Frontier etc). This time around it’s Anne Hathaway against Ben Affleck in the political thriller, The Last Thing He Wanted.
This Dee Rees directed film looks like a solid night in, a few thrills and movie stars doing their thing. Also, anything with Willem Dafoe is automatically improved by 5%. That’s a cinematic fact.

The synopsis:
A veteran D.C. journalist (Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway) loses the thread of her own narrative when a guilt-propelled errand for her father (Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe) thrusts her from byline to unwitting subject in the very story she’s trying to break. Academy Award nominee Dee Rees directs her adaptation of Joan Didion’s namesake novel, co-starring Oscar winner Ben Affleck.
