The Night The Reindeer Died: Trailer For Festive Action-Comedy FATMAN Starring Mel Gibson & Walton Goggins

The Night The Reindeer Died is a spoof movie featured in the opening of Richard Donner’s Scrooged. The film within a film sees Lee Majors’ Santa Claus face-off against terrorists when the attack his workshop.

Donner’s friend and collaborator, Mel Gibson obviously liked what saw because he’s now starring in Fatman, a new Christmas action-comedy. The film sees Gibson’s crotchety Chris Cringle facing-off against Walton Goggins‘ assassin. Clearly laughs and violence ensue.

This is Movies In Focus gold, festive action and it’s probably the movie that we need this Christmas. Fatman looks to have the mighty Mel Gibson doing what he does best – kicking ass.

The synopsis:

To save his declining business, Chris Cringle (Mel Gibson), also known as Santa Claus, is forced into a partnership with the U.S. military. Making matters worse, Chris gets locked into a deadly battle of wits against a highly skilled assassin (Walton Goggins), hired by a precocious 12-year-old after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking. ‘Tis the season for Fatman to get even, in the action-comedy that keeps on giving.
