TEXAS CHAINSAW Directors Leave After One Week; New Director Hired For Horror Pic

There’s some disappointing news coming in from Bulgaria – directors Andy and Ryan Tohill have departed the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie after just one week of filming. The reason has been cited as ‘creative differences’, as apparently Legendary Pictures didn’t like the footage shot over the course of the first week.

Emmy-winning director and cinematographer David Blue Garcia has already been hired to replace the duo and he’s expected to start from scratch on the film which follows-on from Tobe Hooper‘s classic horror.

I’m somewhat saddened by this news as I would have loved to have seen when the Belfast boys did with the franchise. Most (all) of the subsequent Texas Chainsaw movies have paled in comparison to Hopper’s masterful 1974 film. Will this new instalment be any better?
