SKYFALL: James Bond’s Billion Dollar Box Office Bonanza

Skyfall has passed $1 billion at the global box office.

The Daniel Craig starrer has grossed $289.6 million at the US box office and a further $710 million in other territories. The Sam Mendes directed film has now become the highest grossing film in the fifty year old franchise, while it is also the third film of 2012 to hit the $1 billion mark, behind The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.

Skyfall (read the Movies In Focus review) has also grossed over £100 million at the UK box office – the first film ever to hit the century number.
