Scarlett Johansson starrer Lucy smashed all sorts of expectations at the box office, grossing a mighty $43.8 million last weekend – meaning that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Hercules had to settle for second place with just $29.8 million. The debut means that Johansson looks certain to inherit Angelina Jolie’s action queen crown. Her role as Black Widow in the Marvel movies like The Avengers is one thing, but Lucy was sold on Johansson’s star power (with a little help from the high concept and director Luc Besson).
