Scaring The IT Out Of You: Trailer For IT CHAPTER 2
The first instalment of Andy Muschietti’s 2017 adaptation of Stephen King‘s IT was surprising on two levels. One: it grossed over $327 million at the US box office and more than $700 million globally. Two: it was actually pretty great. Therefore it’s pretty great that we’re going back to Derry for this follow-up which continues the story of King’s epic novel.
In IT Chapter Two the action focuses on the grown-up members (and their youthful counterparts) of The Losers Club as they once again battle Bill Skarsgård’s evil Pennywise. The star-power of this sequel has also been upped with James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader now joining the cast.
It’ll be interesting to see how this does at the box office. The first film was great – but did its success ride on the cusp of the Stranger Things ’80s nostalgia wave? Time will tell, but this looks like another enjoyable fright flick.
