Sam Mendes Returns For BOND 24
It looks like Sam Mendes is now a sure thing to direct Bond 24. The Skyfall director originally declined to direct the Daniel Craig starring follow-up to the billion dollar Bond, stating his commitments to theatre.
However, it now looks like Sony Pictures and MGM have decided to wait for the Oscar-winning director to finish his directing duties on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and King Lear.
There was recent talk of Christopher Nolan directing Bond 24, but (like I predicted) that didn’t turn out.
I’ve always hoped that Mendes would return, as Skyfall places the Bond in a fantastic position to continue the franchise.
Production on Bond 24 is set to start next year.
