Pulp Fiction Stars Bruce Willis & John Travolta Reteam For PARADISE CITY

Movies In Focus is excited by the news that Bruce Willis and John Travolta are set to star in Paradise City. The pair last worked together 27 years ago, when they appeared in Quentin Tarantino‘s masterpiece Pulp Fiction. Both actors have had patchy careers over the last few years, but I have great expectations for the Chuck Russell directed film, which is set to kick off filming in Hawaii. Travolta was great in Russell’s revenge thriller, I Am Wrath.

According to Deadline:

Willis plays renegade bounty hunter, Ryan Swan, who must carve his way through the Hawaiian crime world to wreak vengeance on the kingpin, played by Travolta, who murdered his father. I’m told the project is billed as being similar to Miami Vice but with bounty hunters instead of cops. Thai actress and model Praya Lundberg has landed the lead female role.

Apparently producer Corey Large has been hoping to make the film since 2006. Large has produced several Willis films of the last few years, including Cosmic Sin, Breach, Marauders, Acts of Violence, First Kill, Extraction, Vice, The Prince and Precious Cargo. He co-wrote Paradise City with Ed John Drake and he’ll also take on a role on the film.

I’m a huge fan of both John Travolta and Bruce Willis – and I hoping for the best for Paradise City – I really am.
