Richard Lester – 1980
Continuing the Man Of Steel‘s story from Richard Donner‘s brilliant original, Superman II isn’t quite as good as its predecessor – but it’s close. Very close.
Gene Hackman and Christopher Reeve are once again great as Lex Luthor and Superman -but it’s a shame there’s no Marlon Brando this time around.
Superman II is sheer tongue in cheek comic book adventure – and a lot of fun! Its’ almost like a Roger Moore James Bond movie in tone. This is fantastic entertainment for all.
