Poster: Paul Dano And John Cusack Play Brian Wilson In Bill Pohlad’s LOVE AND MERCY

Bill Pohlad’s Love And Mercy scored great buzz when it launched at the Toronto Film Festival last year. The film follows the life of The Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson at two points in his troubled life. Paul Dano plays the musician in the 1960s when he had a breakdown following the recording of the mind-bending 1966 album Pet Sounds. John Cusack is the middle-aged Wilson in a portion set in the 1980s, a broken man under the control of Paul Giamatti’s Eugene Landy.

This new poster plays up the ‘60s aspect of Pohlad’s film, but that’s the era The Beach Boys will always be remembered for.

Love And Mercy opens in the US on 5 June.
