Movies In Focus was very intrigued by Brad Furman‘s City Of Lies. The film follows the investigation into the murder of rap artist Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G.
Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker lead the cast of the thriller which is based on the book, LAByrinth, by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Randall Sullivan.
I’m curious to see how Depp handles his role here – playing a cop is not something that he’s done often (at all?). Hopefully this will be the start of a Deppissance of some kind.
