Play THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME
The Most Dangerous Game is a worthwhile watch.
The film, based on Richard Connell’s short story follows Zaroff (Leslie Banks), an evil Russian Count who shipwrecks boats near his island and then hunts the survivors for “sport”.
Joel McCrea and King Kong‘s Faye Wray play the leads in this 63 minute adventure which was produced by the legendary RKO Pictures. According to Wikipedia, the film was produced for a little $200,000 a slight number, even for 1932 – but it looks great.
The film is referenced in David Fincher’s Zodiac (apparently the killer was a fan) and the concept has been rehashed in a million movies and television shows. I have the film in a decent (if annoying) colourised version – but you can check the whole movie out here – for free – legally in black and white.
