OBI-WAN KENOBI Gets Poster & Series Debut Date
For a long time Movies In Focus has said that Obi-Wan Kenobi is the most exciting development to happen to the Star Wars universe since The Force Awakens was announced. I can’t wait to see Ewan McGregor back in his Jedi robes for the new limited series which is set to arrive on Disney+ on May 25 2022 – the 45th anniversary of George Lucas’ original Star Wars.
The show takes place ten years after the events of Revenge Of The Sith and deals with Kenobi’s time on Tatooine as he looks over young Luke Skywalker.
The synopsis:
Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new Disney+ limited series from Lucasfilm, will debut exclusively on Disney+ May 25. The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master.
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
