Shakespeare In Love is very enjoyable period romantic comedy-drama with an excellent cast.

Both Joseph Fiennes and Gwyneth Paltrow deliver strong performances in the lead roles, but the stand-out turn is from Ben Affleck. His performance is the highlight of the film – he should have taken home the Oscar and not Judi Dench.

For the most part clever and witty, Shakespeare In Love may loose some momentum towards the end, but it’s still and entertaining film nonetheless.
