Tim Burton – 1990

Edward Scissorhands is one of the crowning achievements of Tim Burton‘s career. It’s a truly magical film which is perfectly balanced. All the elements work in unison – Fairy Tale, satire, comedy, romance and Gothic drama. 

The cast of the film is excellent. Johnny Depp plays the title role to perfection and Winona Ryder is also great – as is the mighty Alan Arkin. 

Edwards Scissorhands is stylish, yet undateable film which also features a wonderfully touching final performance from the great Vincent Price.
