Robert Zemeckis – 1997

Robert Zemeckis‘ Contact is a stylish and thoughtful slice of adult science-fiction. The film features some wonderfully realistic special effects and Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey really sell the more fantastical aspects of the story. 

Zemeckis directs Contact with aplomb, delivering subtle direction with some great visual tricks, which highlight what a great director he is.
