Notebook Reviews: THE LOST BOYS
Joel Schumacher – 1987
The Lost Boys is probably the ultimate Joel Schumacher film. This has it all – teenagers, neon lighting, rock soundtrack, fast editing and a witty script. It’s dated, but that’s not a problem because this film just gets better with age.
The script is a gem and the comedy sits nicely beside the horror elements. The Lost Boys is stylish cinematic fun. Schumacher knows what his target audience wants – and he gives it to them in spades. This is highly recommended – mostly for late night viewing.
