NON-STOP Is ‘Die Hard’ On A Plane…With Liam Neeson

NON-STOP-LIAM-NEESON

It looks like Liam Neeson is going to keep doing that middle-age action thing. The Irish actor is in the frame to star in producer Joel Silver’s latest action-fest Non-Stop.

According to Variety: “Neeson is in talks to play a worn-out air marshal who faces a threat while traveling on an international flight.

Like I noted the other day with White House Down – this is all very 90s, the old ‘Die Hard on a…’ routine. It has also been done before, with Passenger 57 and Con Air, if you want to be really facetious about it , then throw Die Hard 2 into the mix.

Neeson is in full paycheck overload, with Wrath of the Titans currently in cinemas, the terrible looking Battleship on the way, and he has The Dark Knight Rises and Taken 2 on the horizon. Silver and Neeson last worked together on the rather bland Unknown (read my review), which banked $63 at the US box office and over $130 globally. I presume that this is just going to be more of the same, so I can’t imagine that this is going to bother anyone come the awards season.
