MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 Halts Production Following Positive COVID-19 Test
The seventh entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise has halted shooting in the UK. after at least one member of the production tested positive for COVID-19. Filming on the Christopher McQuarrie directed sequel will until 14 June – at this point it’s unknown how many people have tested positive.
A statement from the production said:
“We have temporarily halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 until June 14th, due to positive coronavirus test results during routine testing. We are following all safety protocols and will continue to monitor the situation.”
Mission: Impossible 7 starring Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, Henry Czerny, Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, and Esai Morales is scheduled to be released in the US on 27 May 2022 followed by a streaming release on Paramount+ in July 2022.
