Max Von Sydow Dies Aged 90

The great Max von Sydow has died at the age of 90. The iconic actor had a fascinating career, making 11 films with director Ingmar Bergman, including 1957’s The Seventh Seal. He would then go on to score over 100 credits in a variety of genres – and he was brilliant in every one. 

Born in Carl Adolf von Sydow in 10 April 1929 , the Swedish actor starred in a varied selection of titles over the decades including aforementioned Seventh Seal, The Greatest Story Ever Told, The Quiller Memorandum, The Exorcist, The Three Days Of The Condor, Flash Good, Conan The Barbarian, Never Say Never Again, Dune, Hannah And Her Sisters, Minority Report, The Diving Bell And The Butterfly, Shutter Island, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Game Of Thrones. 

Max Von Sydow was always one of those performers who heightened movies, making them better no matter how big or small the role. He will be missed.
