LAST VOYAGE OF THE DEMETER Sails Again
Over a decade ago (2010 to be exact) The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace and Ben Kingsley were attached to the Last Voyage of The Demeter with 30 Days Of Night‘s David Slade set to direct. The plot of the film tells the tale of the ship (The Demeter) that brought Dracula to England from Transylvania in Bram Stoker’s legendary 1897 novel. It’s based on the chapter,The Captain’s Log,
Robert Schwentke, Marcus Nispel, and Stefan Ruzowitzky had all considered directing the film before Slade was attached. That incarnation of the film never came to pass.
Now in 2021 Corey Hawkins is set to star in the film with André Øvredal directing. Zak Olkewicz wrote the latest draft of the script for Amblin Entertainment.
We’ll see if Last Voyage of The Demeter makes it to the screen this time.
