Kurt Russell Looking Like A Cowboy On The Set Of John Carpenter’s THE FOG
The magic of movies knows no boundaries – be that in front of the camera, or behind it.
After Elvis in 1979, John Carpenter returned to the horror genre with The Fog, an atmospheric ghost story set in the fictional Californian town of Antonio Bay. Carpenter stalwarts Jamie Lee Curtis, Adrienne Barbeau and Tom Atkins star in the atmospheric chiller.
These great behind-the-scenes images show Carpenter the on-set of the 1980 release, but the big draw here is that Kurt Russell is hanging out with the horror master.
The friends and frequent collaborators had previously made the aforementioned Elvis and they would make Escape From New York the following year. Russell may have been filming Used Cars around this time – but he’s rocking some nifty cowboy duds in these pics.
