Images And Release Date For Robert Redford’s THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN

Apparently, The Old Man And The Gun will be Robert Redford‘s last screen appearance. The 81 year old actor has said he’s calling it quits after a long and distinguished career as one of the great movie icons.

David Lowry (A Ghost Story)’s film sees Redford star as a 70 year old career criminal who goes on the run after breaking out of prison. Casey Affleck plays the cop on his tail, while Sissy Spacek is a love interest.

The pic will hit US screens of 5 October 2018 – putting it smack dab in the middle of awards season. This shows that Fox Searchlight has confidence in the piece, which might get some awards traction if it’s Redford’s swan song.
