Don’t Get Even, Get Mads: Mads Mikkelsen To Replace Johnny Depp In FANTASTIC BEASTS Franchise

Johnny Depp was asked to exit the Fantastic Beasts film franchise at the start of November after he lost his ‘wife beater’ libel case against tabloid newspaper The Sun and its gossip slinger, Dan Wooton.

Since then rumours swirled that Hannibal and Casino Royale actor Mads Mikkelsen would replace Depp as Grindelwald in the third instalment of the Harry Potter spin-off. Now that news has been confirmed by Warner Bros.

Mads Mikkelsen is a great actor, but I have to say that he’s no Johnny Depp. 

The David Yates directed J.K Rowling creation which also stars Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law is set to open on 15 July 2022.
