Update: These are director Irvin Kirshner’s scribblings – doesn’t matter – it’s a well acted scene.

We all know that the late Carrie Fisher was great in the Star Wars movies. However, this excerpt from the shooting script for The Empire Strikes Back shows her skill at turning science fiction mumbo jumbo into a splendid scene.

This moment in Empire always stood out. It was well acted by Fisher and Harrison Ford – but we can see that Fisher improved it immeasurably.
