Bring Matt Damon Home With The Poster And Trailer For Ridley Scott’s THE MARTIAN

The Martian could be a potential return to sci-fi form for Ridley Scott after the abysmal Prometheus. Matt Damon plays an astronaut stranded on the red planet, while NASA and his crew attempt to rescue him.

This looks like great stuff. Movies In Focus has the novel on the shelf ready to go – but I think I’ll catch the movie first. See below for the synopsis, trailer and poster:

During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew.  But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet.
