US Poster & Trailer: Phillip Noyce’s ABOVE SUSPICION Starring Emilia Clarke & Jack Huston
Australian director Phillip Noyce is a filmmaker who knows how to craft a fine thriller. Films like Dead Calm, Blind Fury, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger and the under-rated The Saint show he understands the genre and knows how to build tension and thrills alongside getting his actors to deliver great performances.
Therefore I’ll be there for Above Suspicion, his latest cinematic effort starring Emilia Clarke, Jack Huston and Thora Birch and Johnny Knoxville.
Above Suspicion in will arrive in select US cinemas and wherever you rent or buy movies online on 14 May 2021 and then hit blu-ray and DVD 18 May 2021.
The synopsis:
Based on the true story of one of the most notorious crimes in FBI history, this gritty crime-thriller stars Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”) as Susan Smith, a young woman desperate to escape a seedy life of crime and drugs in a Kentucky coal mining town. When a newly minted FBI agent named Mark Putnam (Jack Huston, “Fargo”) recruits Susan as his informant for a high-profile case, she believes her bad luck may finally be changing. But as Susan and Putnam’s relationship deepens, so does the danger, setting them both on a collision course with deadly consequences.
