Notebook Reviews: HALLOWEEN H20: 20 YEARS LATER

Steve Miner – 1998

2 out of 5 stars

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later is the seventh entry in the Halloween franchise. Steve Miner’s film lacks the suspense of John Carpenter‘s 1978 original, but it’s good to see Jamie Lee Curtis back as Laurie Strode.

Part of the 1990s resurgence in slasher movies, the body count of H20 is just a little too low for this type of horror pic. However the ending is quite clever – showing the proper way to kill Michael Myers. Maybe. It still grossed $55 million at the US box office.
