Here’s the first official look at Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune (courtesy of Vanity Fair). 

The film, based on the Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel is a huge task for the Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 director, with many believing that the science fiction book is unfilmable (David Lynch tried an failed in the 1980s).

Dune, which co-stars Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem is scheduled to open on 18 December 2020. We’ll see if that happens.
