Let’s be honest – Nicolas Cage‘s casting as Dracula in Renfield is pretty perfect on paper. It’s even more perfect when you see these first images of Cage in character as the Prince of Darkness.
Directed by Chris McKay and written by Ryan Ridley, the horror-comedy sees Nicholas Hoult starring as Dracula‘s faithful servant, Renfield. He decides his cut ties with his boss after falling in love with a traffic cop (Awkwafina). I’m guessing that the Count isn’t too happy with this and things get bloody.
Cage has stated that he’s using his late father, August Coppola and David Bowie‘s Thin White Duke as inspiration. Does that mean that the film features shades of Tony Scott’s Hunger?
