Han Solo And Chewbacca Behind The Controls Of The Millennium Falcon In STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS
There’s something wonderful about seeing Han Solo once again behind the controls of the Millennium Falcon. Vanity Fair is having a huge Star Wars: The Force Awakens spectacular and they’ve teased this by releasing the new cover and a video on Star Wars Day (May 4th) on their website. The video adds some great behind the scenes snippets, while the accompanying screen-shots make you wish it was already December.
We get to see new stars Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega in costume, while there’s a shot of Lupita Nyong’o in a motion-capture suit but the big draw here is Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca.
Director J.J Abrams has this to say about Ford’s return to the Star Wars galaxy:
”He was excited to get back in those shoes again, which was really interesting because I thought he hadn’t been a fan. I kept hearing those rumours when I was a kid.
I knew that he had done in some movies a kind of more growly thing, and I didn’t want Han to be growly.
There was a fire in his eyes that you see in the movie.”
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in December 2015.
