Trailer: The Cinematic Anti-Christ Will Arrive With The Remake Of BEN-HUR 

Man-o-man. This trailer for Ben-Hur is everything I feared it would be – and worse. CGI-d to within an inch of its life, this will never even be mentioned in the same breath as William Wyler/Charlton Heston’s 1959 epic. It’ll be forgotten by Christmas.

The Heston movie was itself a remake but we won’t kid ourselves here, this movie wants to tap into the zoinked-out 15 year old boy mindset AND the Christian movie audience. It’ll fail on both counts.

Directed by Timur Bekmambetov, Ben-Hur starring Jack Huston, Morgan Freeman, Toby Kebbell, Nazanin Boniadi, Rodrigo Santoro opens in August 2016. You have been warned.
