Trailer: Sam Worthington Recites Jonathan Mostow’s THE HUNTER’S PRAYER
The Hunter’s Prayer has a lot going for it. For one thing, Jonathan Mostow is directing. Moscow burst onto the scene 20 years ago with the tight Kurt Russell thriller, Breakdown and he followed that up with the fun Matthew McConaughey submarine flick U-571. He had the unenviable job of following in the footsteps of James Cameron with Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, but he hasn’t made a film since the Bruce Willis pic Surrogates in 2009. What’s that about?
But now The Hunter’s Prayer sees a Mostow back on thriller form, this time taking Sam Worthington along for the ride:

Here’s the synopsis:
Lucas, (Sam Worthington; Hacksaw Ridge, Sabotage) is a solitary assassin who is hired to kill a young woman, Ella, (Odeya Rush; Goosebumps, The Odd Life of Timothy Green). When he can’t bring himself to pull the trigger the plan falls apart, setting in motion a twisted game of cat and mouse with both now marked for death. Forced into an uneasy alliance, the pair is relentlessly pursued across Europe, their only hope for survival lying in the exposure of those responsible for the brutal murder of Ella’s family…
Also starring Martin Compston (fresh from TV’s Line Of Duty) as a dogged, unstoppable rival assassin, and with support from Allen Leech (TV’s Downton Abbey, The Imitation Game), The Hunter’s Prayer is marks a riveting return to form for legendary Hollywood action wunderkind Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, U-571). Delivering thrills and spills on an international scale, The Hunter’s Prayer is the first essential action rollercoaster of the autumn.
The Hunter’s Prayer hits digital platforms and DVD on September 4, 2017
