The Hard-Edged Trailer For David Ayer’s SUICIDE SQUAD Introduces The Joker And Harley Quinn

The Suicide Squad trailer got a rapturous response when it was shown at the San Diego Comic Con – and it got another one when a pirated version was leaked online (why do people do that?). A frustrated Warner Bros. has now done some damage control and released it online. It looks…really good.

David Ayer appears to be delivering a hard-edged comic book movie, and it’ll be very interesting to see where this lands rating-wise. I’m also curious to see how this plays alongside Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. The connecting tissue appears to be Ben Affleck’s Batman and his relationship with Jared Leto’s Joker. He makes an appearance at the end of the trailer, but the big stand-out here is Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

Ayer’s comic book anti-hero pic stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg; Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Oscar winner Jared Leto as the Joker, Jai Courtney as Boomerang and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.

Suicide Squade opens in August 2016.
