Trailer: Dwayne Johnson And Emily Blunt Rock The Boat In JUNGLE CRUISE

How much money does Dwayne Johnson need? How many soulless blockbusters must he make before he’s happy? The man has charisma, but he just makes movies based on potential box office. All of Johnson’s movies look the same.

Here’s his latest, a Disney theme park movie based on the Jungle Cruise ride. This time he’s taking Emily Blunt, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, Paul Giamatti and Edgar Ramírez along for the ride when it opens on 24 July 2020.

This looks like it wants to be Pirates of The Caribbean 2.0 by way of The African Queen  – with added Johnson and CGI. Minus the originality, of course.

Here’s the trailer:

The synopsis:

Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE is an adventure-filled, Amazon-jungle expedition starring Dwayne Johnson as the charismatic riverboat captain and Emily Blunt as a determined explorer on a research mission.
