Easy Bubba! They’ve Only Gone And Decided To Bring Back NASH BRIDGES

You won’t find a bigger fan of Don Johnson than Movies In Focus. Forget the current ‘golden age of television’ Miami Vice and Nash Bridges are where TV really peaked. There are rumblings that Don Johnson will be stepping back into the white linen for a Miami Vice reboot – but he’s also confirmed that he’ll be starring in a a new reboot of his classic 1990s series Nash Bridges for USA Network.

Bridges was a San Francisco cop who had to balance the job with his personal life, aided by his wise-cracking partner Joe Dominguez (Cheech Marin). The show ran from ran from 1996 to 2001.

Speaking on a forthcoming episode of The Talk, Johnson said:

‘We’re writing it now and it’s a two-hour television film, and they’re looking at it as kind of a way to launch it again as a series. Good Lord, I don’t know how I feel about that.

The Cheech will be back. I think in this adaptation of ‘Nash Bridges,’ he’s going to actually be selling weed. And the cops in San Francisco are actually going to be smoking it.”

Johnson is a god and I’m more than ready for a Nash Bridges reboot. Bring it on.
