The Force Is Strong With This One: ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY Celebration Reel And Poster
Gareth Edwards is under a lot of pressure to make Rogue One: A Star Wars Story deliver the goods. A prequel to the events of George Lucas’ original Star Wars (aka A New Hope), the film needs to walk a tight rope of being fresh and familiar at the same time.
The Star Wars Celebration is now taking place in London (don’t ask me why I’m not there) and nuggets of news and information are being dropped left, right and centre. I don’t like getting into too much talk about plot here, but I am captivated by this ‘Celebration Reel’ and new poster for Rogue One. Fans at the event also saw a trailer for the flick, and I’m sure that’ll hit the internet sooner rather than later. The big takeaway from this celebration reel, which shows a lot of great behind-the-scenes footage, is the amount of practical sets on display. Always a good sign.
I’m intrigued to see if Edwards and Lucasfilm pull-off the challenge of making a Skywalker-free Star Wars movie – but it looks like they might have. The Force must have been with them.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits screens in December 2016.
