THE BATMAN Gets A New Release Date After COVID-19 Delay

Production for Matt Reeves’ The Batman shut-down on 14 March due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Since then, the Batman reboot has been on indefinite hiatus and a locked-down Reeves has been going over footage in preparation for when things get back-up and running again.

With each passing day it looked more and more unlikely that the DC Comics adaptation would meet its June 25, 2020 release date. Now Warner Bros. has announced the Robert Pattinson starrer will arrive on October 1, 2020 – the date that which saw Joker launch to massive success in 2019.

The Batman starring Robert Pattison, Colin Farrell, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Andy Serkis and Peter Sarsgaard will open on October 1, 2021.
