TÁR Teaser Trailer
This first teaser for Todd Field‘s Tár certainly plays by its own rules. It doesn’t give away much about the film or its tone – but you can be certain that it’s probably not one for the Marvel crowd.
An actor turned director, Field made his directorial debut in 2001 with In My Bedroom – a film which scored five Oscar nominations, including Best Picture. His follow-up, Little Children in 2006 managed three Oscar nominations – but he hasn’t directed a film since (despite his best efforts).
Starring Cate Blanchett, Noémie Merlant, Nina Hoss, Sophie Kauer, Julian Glover, Allan Corduner and Mark Strong Tár arrives in the U.S. on 7th October 2022 and in the UK in January 2023.
The synopsis:
TÁR, set in the international world of classical music, centers on Lydia Tár, widely considered one of the greatest living composer/conductors and first-ever female chief conductor of a major German orchestra.
