STAR WARS EPISODE IX Starts Shooting; First Image Released
It’s 1 August 2018 – and that means J.J. Abrams has started shooting Star Wars Episode IX. Above is the first-ever image released – and it looks a bit like the Millennium Falcon. I could be wrong though.
Abrams announced the shooting of the latest Star Wars movie in a tweet which included the below caption and the above image.
Bittersweet starting this next chapter without Carrie, but thanks to an extraordinary cast and crew, we are ready to go. Grateful for

Star Wars Episode IX starring Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee William and Carrie Fisher opens in December 2019.
