It has been the talk of the internet for months (years?), but it has finally been confirmed that Benedict Cumbersnatch…sorry…Cumberbatch will be playing ‘John Harrison’ in J.J Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness. Wait. Who?

The smart money has always been on Cumbersnatch…sorry…Cumberbatch playing Khan or Gary Mitchell and if you’re betting on that, then I would make sure that you still put your money where your mouth is. Expect there to be some sort of bait and switch, character wise.

Benedict Cumberbatch joins Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, John Cho in Star Trek Into Darkness, which opens on May 17, 2013.
