SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING – With A Great Trailer Comes Great Responsibility
I like these trailers (international and US) for Spider-Man: Homecoming. There’s a sense of fun and playfulness that works (probably down to Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark) and I’m impressed by how this feels like a well-made teen comedy that also just happens to have elements of a superhero flick.
I wasn’t a fan of Toby Maguire’s webslinger, but I enjoyed Andrew Garfield’s turn as the character – and I think Tom Holland will do just fine. For me, the main selling point is Michael Keaton as The Vulture, finally completing his trifecta of winged characters following Batman and Birdman.
I honestly never thought that I would see Sony Pictures and Marvel work together on this. But in Hollywood money is a great healer.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits screens in July 2017.
