Prano Bailey-Bond’s Video Nasty Horror CENSOR Gets A Release Date For The UK & Ireland
Vertigo Releasing has announced that it will be releasing Prano Bailey-Bond’s Censor in UK and Irish cinemas from 20 August 2021
Niamh Algar (so good it Calm With Horses) leads the cast which is also features Nicholas Burns, Vincent Franklin, Sophia La Porta, Adrian Schiller and Michael Smiley. It’s also Executive Produced by the mighty film master, Kim Newman.
The synopsis:
Britain, 1985. When film censor Enid discovers an eerie horror that speaks directly to her sister’s mysterious disappearance, she resolves to unravel the puzzle behind the film and its enigmatic director – a quest that will blur the lines between fiction and reality in terrifying ways. Steeped in glorious 1980s aesthetics, Censor is a bloody love letter to the VHS ‘video nasty’ horror classics of the past.
