Independence Day 2 will finally hit screens on 24 June 2016 – almost 20 years to the day that Roland Emmerich destroyed the world with copious amounts of special effects and aliens. Emmerich, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Brent Spinner, writer Dean Devlin and the aliens are returning for the sequel – but Will Smith and Randy Quaid are not (no surprise on the latter’s no-show). This sequel comes with added Liam Hemsworth.
