Notebook Reviews: THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING

John Huston – 1975

Based on Rudyard Kipling’s tale, John Huston‘s The Man Who Would Be King is an old-fashioned boys’ own adventure which features the brilliant pairing of Sean Connery and Michael Caine (they’re brilliant together).

The script for this 1975 release crackles with great lines and the story is a real gem. Maurice Jarre’s musical score is excellent, as is the film’s cinematography.

The Man Who Would be King is a true classic with much to enjoy – charm, action and two great movie stars. It’s a real must-see movie!
