Notebook Reviews: SERENDIPITY

4 out of 5 stars

Peter Chelsom – 2001

Serendipity is a clichéd, but fun romantic comedy from Town & Country director Peter Chelsom. Chelsom’s film features yet another winning turn from John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale also impresses as his romantic foil. This might be pure fluff, but it’s hugely enjoyable if you go with it.

The New York setting looks fantastic, with its glittery lights and snowflakes. The supporting casts impresses and the screenplay has moments which raise this well above the average. Serendipity is great fun and a real good feel-good movie.
