Brett Ratner – 1998

Rush Hour is a film which I didn’t like first time around – but it’s much better on second viewing. The selling point of this action-filled comedy is the relationship between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker – they’re both great. 

So what if this is cliched – this buddy movie is good fun and Brett Ratner handles the material well. The set pieces are well staged and the script has some great lines. I wonder why I didn’t like it first time around?
