Notebook Reviews: BLADE II
Guillermo del Toro – 2002
Director Guillermo del Toro‘s Blade II delivers a sequel which is an improvement on the original film, but this is still a limp action-horror (a pity – because the trailer is so good).
Wesley Snipes once again does his thing – but if truth be told, he’s becoming a little grating. Meanwhile, Kris Kristofferson makes the worst Lazarus-style comeback since Michael Crichton brought back Ian Malcom in Jurassic Park: The Lost World.
To sum-up Blade II: there’s too much CGI and martial arts and not enough soul. A shame as it had potential.
