John Carpenter – 1976
John Carpenter‘s Assault On Precinct 13 is a taught and well-made thriller. This low budget siege film is hugely entertaining and a masterclass in tension. Assault On Precinct 13 is one of Carpenter’s finest moments – the characters are believable and the action is great.
One of the ultimate low-budget thrillers (and it’s all the better for that), Assault On Precinct 13 is wonderful. The soundtracks brilliant too!
